Our organization, Fearless Brown Girls®, believes that educating young girls about finances is not just a choice; it’s a necessity. Fearless Brown Girls® is committed to empowering the next generation through a series of impactful programs designed to foster financial literacy and personal development.
- Building a Fearless Foundation: Our annual Empowerment Brunch is a transformative experience that introduces our girls to inspirational leaders, encourages career and entrepreneurial aspirations, and supports mental well-being. Through intentional collaborations with minority, female-led businesses, we not only open doors to career exploration but also contribute to the economic growth of our community of business owners.
- Financially Confident Teens Initiative: Nurturing future financial leaders, this program provides interactive, in-person workshops covering budgeting, saving, investing, credit management, retirement, and entrepreneurship principles for teens aged 14-18. We collaborate with FLY Foundation to provide this valuable financial education. At our June 2023 Workshop, two of our graduating seniors had the honor of receiving $1000 scholarships to assist with college tuition and fees. They’re attending Howard University and Queens University.
- Mind Your Business – Youth Entrepreneurship Program: Igniting the entrepreneurial spirit in young minds, this virtual program is a series of engaging workshops that equip aspiring and established teen entrepreneurs with essential business skills. From infrastructure setup, marketing, and branding to managing business finances, we cover it all. Join us over the summer to dive into the world of entrepreneurship the right way!
- Cultivate Your Coins Mentorship: Guiding financial success, one mentorship at a time, this program pairs girls with financial experts to set and achieve savings goals. With just 45% of Americans having $1000+ in savings, our goal is clear – We want to ensure our girls graduate high school with a minimum of $1,000 in savings. Beyond achieving this milestone, the mentorship offers ongoing financial guidance, preparing them for a financially secure future and contributing to the broader mission of financial literacy, confidence, and independence.
- Fearless Connections: Building bridges to broaden horizons, Fearless Connections is all about forging strategic partnerships with diverse organizations, each with its unique mission. These partnerships provide our girls with opportunities to network with their peers, access diverse resources, and unlock new and exciting possibilities. Additionally, by partnering with like-minded organizations, we amplify the impact of Fearless Brown Girls® by extending our reach and influence with the community.
